Sydney ferries KAI KAI and KUTTABUL in Lavender Bay with Sydney Harbour Bridge almost complete c1931

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Sydney ferries KAI KAI and KUTTABUL in Lavender Bay with Sydney Harbour Bridge almost complete c1931. David Critchley commentary: "Sydney Harbour c1931. Although the Sydney Harbour Bridge looks complete in this image, closer inspection shows that the pylons above the main deck have been 'drawn' in... the perspectives are slightly out, and some of the details differ the actual pylons. The ferry in the foreground has just left Lavender Bay, while one of its larger stablemates has just arrived at the temporary Milson's Point Wharf where large escalators will take alighting passengers up to street level. These escalators were later moved to Wynyard Railway Station."
