T1 weighted image of a brain after iv contrast administration in three dimensions at a workstation

Summary[edit]

Description
English: T1 weighted image of a brain after iv contrast administration in three dimensions at a workstation. In this case, only the axial view of the brain is of fine slices with good resolution. In coronal and sagittal sections, the resolution is reduced because of thick slices acquired in these views. Fast spin echo T1 or T2-weighted sequences are unable to acquire all three views in one setting because too much time would be required to acquire such slices. Therefore, gradient echo is useful by acquiring three dimensional views in a reasonable amount of time. The right lower most image is the volume rendering of the MRI slices.
