English:

A post-medieval cast copper alloy tap key. Both the top and bottom edges of the key handle are bi-concave. The bit part of the key is socketed in an arrowhead form. The tap key dates from the 19th Century and was used to unlock the tap of a barrel containing beer or cider.

Length: 45.2mm, width: 42.4mm and thickness: 13.1mm. Weight: 34.2g.
