Surganya Gunung Semeru, merupakan sebutan dari kalangan pendaki untuk Ranu Kumbolo. Tak heran mengapa di sebut surganya Gunung Semeru, karena keindahan tiada tara membuat para pendaki takjub dengan Ranu ini. Saat pagi hari matahari yang muncul tepat di antara dua bukit dapat menghilangkan penat di kaki para pendaki, membuat tekad dan semangat kembali terbakar. Di siang hari Ranu Kumbolo menyiratkan pesan kedamaian dan suasana yang sejuk. Keramaian para pendaki di tandai dengan warna warninya tenda menambah suasana kehangatan di Ranu Kumbolo.
