Description
Español: Traducción desde las tablas del año 1322 (Tablas de Alfonso), obra de Juan de Lignères. Agregüé unas columnas en el actual sistema decimal correspondiente al sistema sexagesimal ptolemaico.

En esta tabla de sombras de un gnomón, el argumento se presenta en una sola columna, de 1° a 90°, en intervalos de a 1°. Hay otra columna para los valores de la cotangente del argumento, aquí llamada umbra (sombra en latín), dada en partes y minutos con norma 12. La entrada para el argumento 45° es 12;0°, para cotangente 45° = 1.

La misma tabla se halla también en las Tablas Toledanas (Pedersen 2002, pp. 993) y en los zijes de al-Battānī (Nallino 1899-1907, 2: 60) y al-Khwārizmī (Suter 1914, p. 174). Esta tabla se menciona en los capítulos 16 a 19 de los cánones que comienzan con Cuiuslibet arcus (véase Saby, 1987, págs. 109 a 113).
