Description

Thalassoma bifasciatum Bloch, 1791 - bluehead wrasse (adult coloration/terminal phase).

Yellowish corals = Porites astreoides (mustard hill corals)

Branching corals at lower left = Porites porites furcata (branched finger corals)

Yellowish to greenish brown, subtriangular structures at left & upper right = Turbinaria saucer leaf algae (Phaeophyta)

Classification: Animalia, Chordata, Vertebrata, Actinopterygii, Perciformes, Labridae

Locality: patch reef south of French Bay government dock, southwestern San Salvador Island, eastern Bahamas
