Description
English: A yellow water taxi on the Chicago River.

The Chicago Water Taxi is operated by the family owned company Wendella Sightseeing Co. In 1962 they started a rush hour commuter service, between Michigan Avenue and the Northwestern Railroad Station, enhancing transportation options for the city’s thousands of commuters by utilizing the resources of the Chicago River.

The Chicago Water Taxi, also known as the RiverBus, provides seven-day a week water transportation service to thousands of commuters. Since 1962, the RiverBus has carried an estimated 4 million rail commuters on the Chicago River.
