The house features a wooden clapboard-clad exterior, a hipped roof, bracketed eaves, a two-story gallery-style front porch with a front-gable roof, cast iron columns, and cast iron railings, six-over-six double-hung windows, casement windows on the first floor, doors with arched transoms, decorative arched surrounds, and fanlight transoms over the doorways at the central bay of the front facade, a one-story gallery-style porch on the east facade with cast iron columns and railings, and a two-story gallery-style rear porch with wooden doric columns and wooden balustrades. The house is a contributing structure in Columbia Historic District I, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
