Title |
The Landing of William Penn. He landed in Newcastle, Delaware, Uppland, Pennsylvania (which he renamed Chester) and Philadelphia, where there wouldn't have been any houses yet. This is supposedly New Castle. The plains Indian outfits marks this as an imaginary scene. The supposed Swedish outfits look almost as bad. From "The Pageant of a Nation" a 1932 book which can't be read on Google Books |
