Dock Rollers

The docks here at the park are designed to float with the tides. Rollers are put in place to allow the dock to smoothly move on the pilings. This picture shows one of the rollers missing. The high winds and wave action caused a significant amount of beating between the dock and the concrete pilings that hold the dock in place. Without the roller, the dock could damage the pilings.
