The Three Crutches area building

Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Three Crutches area straddles the border of Higham parish and Medway Council. It has seen many changes in the road layout. Old Watling Street was bypassed by a straighter A2when it proved unsuitable for motors, it was at this spot where the new M2 joined the A2, and later where the WainscottNorthern bypass joined them all. In the excavation for the latter 4 sarsen stone were unearthed. The Three Crutches Pub remained undisturbed, and next to it and behind is Crutches Farm with its many associated buildings.
