Description

Sir Thomas Heneage (1480-1553), son of John Heneage, and his wife Katherine (nee Skipworth) and daughter Elizabeth (D. 1555) who married William Willoughby. According to William Skipwith, the Pilgrimage of the Grace began with a mob attack on his brother in law Sir Thomas Heneage. William was also brother in law to Sir Robert Tyrwhitt who took part in the suppression of the rebellion.

The tomb features coloured brasses of Sir Thomas, his wife and daughter and the Heneage arms of Greyhound and Leopard faces.
