Description
English: Dawn baseline interplanetary trajectory for primary mission. The thin solid lines represent the orbits of Earth, Mars, Vesta, and Ceres. The duration of the coast periods during interplanetary cruise are exaggerated in this depiction. In addition, thrusting at Vesta and Ceres is not shown.
Français : Trajectoire de la sonde Dawn durant sa mission de 8 ans. Les lignes continues représentent les orbites de la Terre, Mars, Vesta et Cérès. Pour pouvoir apparaitre sur le schéma les périodes d'arrêt de la propulsion durant le transit sont plus longues que dans la réalité et l'utilisation de la propulsion durant le séjour en orbite autour des astéroïdes n'est pas représenté. Les dates d'arrivée sont celles définies après prise en compte des performances plus élevées que prévu du système de propulsion.
