Description
Nederlands: Troonsafstand van Keizer Karel V in de Aula Magna (Brussel), 25 oktober 1555. Ets door Frans Hogenberg. In de troonzaal knielt Filips voor zijn vader. Links Granvelle, rechts Margaretha van Parma en vliesridders. Ten overstaan van de volledige vergadering van de Staten-Generaal, staande voor houten banken met kussens. De muren versierd met wandtapijten. Met onderschrift van 12 regels in het Duits en 5 regels in het Frans. Geschatte datum van vervaardiging is tussen 1566 en 1572 te Keulen.
