In the lower third of the photo is a turtle that is lying on a collection of dried sticks and pine needles. Beyond the turtle is a split-rail wooden fence that goes from left to right and a hillside that turns to green and yellow grasses with one large tree in the upper right portion of the photo.

Turtles are both capable of moving through water and on land
