Description
Nederlands: Omschrijving: Tweede Wereldoorlog, Nederland. Bevrijding Amsterdam. Een van de opnames uit de twee films die Wiel van der Randen gebruikte tijdens de schietpartij op de Dam. 7 mei 1945. Vóór de schietpartij: Mensen paraderend op straat bij het op het Spui kijken lachend naar de fotograaf. Op de achtergrond het Maagdenhuis. Op een kiosk of reclamezuil, net zichtbaar achter de groep, staat "De Telegraaf". Schietpartij kleinbeeldfilm 1, negatiefnummer 4. English: World War II. Liberation day in the Netherlands. Celebrating people on their way to Dam square Amsterdam where some time later German troops would open fire at the celebrating masses (22 killed, 120 injured). One of the pictures from the two films that Dutch photographer Wiel van der Randen consumed during the shoot-out on Dam square. Amsterdam, The Netherlands, May 7, 1945.
