English: Marines and volunteers unload boxes of donated food from a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter Dec. 15, 2009, at Supai, Ariz., a village within the Grand Canyon and the home of the Havasupai tribe. For 14 years, Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 764, a reserve unit based at Edwards Air Force Base north of Los Angeles, has flown donated toys to the village. Besides airlift, the only way to reach the village is via an eight-mile foot trail. |
