English: Medieval re-enactors dressed as traditional Lithuanian knights from the 15th century, meet in mutual combat, as Marines and sailors from Black Sea Rotational Force 12 look on during a demonstration designed to familiarize participants with the history and culture of Lithuania proceeding the opening ceremony of BALTOPS 2012, June 4. The Marines and sailors of BSRF-12 were invited to dine and be entertained alongside Lithuanian soldiers of the Dragoon Battalion and naval divers from the Kingdom of the Netherlands in an “ice breaker” party hosted by the Lithuanian land forces. BSRF-12 is a Special-Purpose MAGTF with crisis response capabilities participating in exercise BALTOPS to enhance interoperability, promote regional stability and build camaraderie amongst the participating forces.
