English: The U.S. Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Rappahannock (T-AO-204) refuels the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) and the Royal Australian Navy frigate HMAS Anzac (FFH 150) during a replenishment-at-sea in the Coral Sea on 6 July 2017. USS Bonhomme Richard was part of a combined U.S.-Australia-New Zealand expeditionary strike group, which was undergoing a series of scenarios that was aimed to increase naval proficiencies in operating against blue-water adversarial threats and in its primary mission of launching Marine forces ashore in the littorals. |
