MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Nov. 28, 2012) The multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) transits alongside the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Laramie (T-AO 203) during a replenishment at sea. Iwo Jima is the flagship of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit and is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
