Nakia Cooper, commanding officer, USS Oak Hill (LSD 51), addresses the media.The dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) that returned to its homeport, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, after supporting hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, Oct 29. The ship departed Norfolk, Aug. 31 to support relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and were redirected to be in a position to support efforts in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
