Description
English: Smoke rises after a massive explosion in the hangar deck of the U.S. Navy light aircraft carrier USS Princeton (CVL-23), shortly after she was hit by a Japanese bomb while operating off the Philippines on 24 October 1944. A destroyer is visible at right.
