English: Naval Medical Clinic Pearl Harbor (NMCLPH) Mar. 14, 2002 -- 200 command members, Federal Fire Department personnel, and paramedics take part in an unannounced Mass Casualty Drill. After the events of September 11, 2001 the command implemented enhanced Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Environmental (CBRE) training for all hands. The Navy Environmental and Preventive Medicine Unit No. 6 provided a Three-day course for clinic providers on the medical management of CBRE casualites, and a one-day CBRE awareness course for non-provider clinic personnel. NMCLPH has also conducted field medical skills training, providing advanced medical proficiencies that would be essential in the event of a mass casualty. Training topics included field medical skills in the area of tracheotomy, ocular injury, abdominal wounds and many others. U.S. Navy photo. (RELEASED) |
