English: Central Command Area of Responsibility (Jan. 26, 2003) – The U.S. Army Vessel (USAV) Theater Support Vessel (TSV-1X) Spearhead sits moored pier-side ready to load trucks scheduled to transport ‘Meals Ready to Eat’ (MRE) for deployed troops. The 98-meter wave piercing catamaran, with an average speed of 40+ knots, will be utilized on missions to maximize its speed and flexibility to transport troops and cargo.
