A ten-man team of Seabees from Amphibious Construction Battalion One (ACB-1) and ACB-2 work a 12-hour shift every day as part of the crew that runs the reverse-osmosis water purification system. The Seabees process approximately 35,000 gallons of water each day and have more than an additional 50,000 gallons of storage capacity.
