English: Atlantic Ocean (Apr. 30, 2004) - Lt. Cmdr. Mike Black, of Kings Park, N.Y., gives the signal to light up the Manually Operated Visual Landing Aid System (MOVLAS) during flight deck drills held aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65). MOVLAS is an emergency signaling system that is used when the primary optical landing system is rendered inoperative.
