English: Persian Gulf (July 16, 2004) - During a no-fly day Sailors participate in a flight deck scrub down exercise (SCRUBEX) as USS John F Kennedy (CV 67) steams through the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The ship is also participating in Summer Pulse 2004, the simultaneous deployment of seven carrier strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces.
