English: Pacific Ocean (July 25, 2004) - Personnelman 3rd Class Michael Craig of San Jose, Calf., organizes hundreds of enlisted service records in the personnel office aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Nine Sailors, including Craig, assigned to Naval Reserve Center, Alameda, Calif., are aboard performing their two weeks of annual active duty by providing operational support to the Kitty Hawk Strike Group. Kitty Hawk is one of seven carrier strike groups (CSGs) involved in Summer Pulse 2004. Summer Pulse 2004 is the deployment of seven carrier strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat capability across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces. Currently under way in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR), Kitty Hawk demonstrates power projection and sea control as the world's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
