English: Pacific Ocean (July 25, 2004) - Rear Adm. Jamie Kelly, Commander, Carrier Group Five, gives a detailed presentation on Kitty Hawk Carrier Strike Group's (CSG) capabilities to embarked Distinguished Visitors as part of an aggressive regional engagement plan to help build relations with leaders of other countries. The Kitty Hawk Carrier Strike Group is one of seven carrier strike groups (CSGs) involved in Summer Pulse 2004, demonstrating the Navy's ability to provide credible combat power across the globe in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces. The Kitty Hawk Strike Group is one of seven carrier strike groups (CSGs) involved in Summer Pulse 2004, demonstrating the Navy's ability to provide credible combat power across the globe in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces. Summer Pulse is the Navy's first test of its new Fleet Response Plan (FRP). Currently under way in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR), Kitty Hawk demonstrates power projection and sea control as the world's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
