Description
English: Atlantic Ocean (Sept. 8, 2004) - Cmdr "Grip" Williams, the Air Boss aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), observes flight operations from Primary Flight Control (Pri-Fly). Pri-Fly is the controlling agency on aviation ships and amphibious aviation assault ships that is responsible for air traffic control of aircraft within five nautical miles of the ship. Truman and embarked Carrier Air Wing Eight (CVW-8) are currently participating in carrier qualifications off the East Coast of the United States in preparation for a scheduled deployment.
