Parker, hosts a "Captain's Call" on the U.S. Navy's 229th birthday to speak with junior Sailors stationed aboard the conventionally-powered aircraft carrier. Capt. Parker addressed the crew on valuable information on a variety of programs, pertaining to them, such as Perform to Serve, Exceptional Sailor Program and also addressed questions and concerns from the crew. Currently in port Yokosuka, Japan, Kitty Hawk demonstrates power projection and sea control as the U.S. Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
