Description
English: Arabian Gulf (Oct. 28, 2004) - Aviation Machinist Mate 2nd Class Kim Pilletere of New Haven, Conn., operates the Filter Debris Analysis Machine to check if the 4 1/2 bearing metal is breaking down aircraft oil aboard the conventionally powered aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67). Oil test are conducted every twenty five to fifty flight hours on all aircraft. Kennedy is on deployment to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 3rd Class Monica Nelson (RELEASED)
