Description
English: Pacific Ocean (May 18, 2005) - Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Barrington Hamilton from Santa Monica, Calif., uses a 40x powered microscope to inspect blood cell morphology aboard the conventionally-powered aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). The Kitty Hawk is currently under way in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR) demonstrating power projection and sea control as the U.S. Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
