English: Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Aug. 11, 2005) - Cytological Technician 3rd Class Erik Horner, assigned to the guided missile cruiser USS Lake Erie (CG 70), casts off a mooring line as the U.S. Army ship TSV-1X Spearhead departs Ford Island at Pearl Harbor to conduct a capabilities demonstration for local military and civilian leaders. The 98-meter aluminum hulled catamaran, similar to the U.S. Navy's High Speed Vehicle (HSV), can maneuver U.S. Army Soldiers with their equipment, at speeds up to 40 knots, from staging bases to remote locations while maintaining full situational awareness.
