English: Pacific Ocean (Aug. 12, 2005) - An F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the "Dambusters" of Strike Fighter Squadron One Nine Five (VFA-195) is given the thumbs up for launch by catapult personnel on the flight deck aboard the conventionally-powered aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). The Kitty Hawk Carrier Strike Group, including the embarked air wing and the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) are participating in the 3rd annual JASEX 2005 with the U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Marine Corps in the Western Pacific. JASEX focuses on integrated joint training proficiency in detecting, locating, tracking and engaging units at sea, in the air, and on land, in response to a range of mission areas.
