English: New Orleans (Sept. 2, 2005) – U.S. Navy Air Crewmen assigned to Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron One Five (HM-15) stationed at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas off load a pallet loaded with Meals Ready to Eat (MREs) from an MH-53E Sea Dragon. HM-15 is operating from the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD-5) and are aiding in the rescuing of victims of Hurricane Katrina and delivering life sustaining necessities to downtown New Orleans and Biloxi, Mississippi area. The Navy's involvement in the humanitarian assistance operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
