English: New Orleans (Sept. 2, 2005) - Aviation Structural Mechanic Airman Cody McCutchen assigned to Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron One Five (HM-15) stationed at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas direct survivors onboard an MH-53E aircraft. HM-15 is operating from the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD-5) and are aiding in rescuing victims of Hurricane Katrina and delivering life sustaining necessities to downtown New Orleans and Biloxi, Mississippi area. The Navy's involvement in the humanitarian assistance operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
