English: Pensacola, Fla. (Sept. 7, 2005) - A U.S. Navy Landing Craft, Air Cushion, assigned to Assault Craft Unit Four (ACU-4), comes ashore on Barrancas Beach aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla., to pick up emergency supplies of water and food to assist in the humanitarian effort following the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. ACU-4 is currently assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5). The Navy's involvement in the Hurricane Katrina humanitarian assistance operations is led by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in conjunction with the Department of Defense.
