Description
English: Atlantic Ocean (Sept. 27, 2005) – Personnel aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Nassau (LHA 4) ready a Landing Craft, Personnel boat to be lowered into the water. The crafts are launched when ships are at anchor to provide additional perimeter security. Nassau anchored off the coast of North Carolina in order to conduct well deck operations during Certification Exercise (CERTEX). The exercise will allow the crew of Nassau to work closely and train with Marines of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit in a scenario-based training environment.
