English: Kupang, Indonesia (Aug. 23, 2006) – Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Orlando Ambat, of San Diego attached to the Medical Treatment Facility aboard the Military Sealift Command (MSC) hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19), injects a patient with a local anesthetic before extracting her tooth during a Medical and Dental Civil Action Project at the Johannes General Hospital. Mercy is anchored off the coast to provide humanitarian, medical and civic assistance to Kupang residents. Mercy is in the fourth month of her five-month humanitarian and civic assistance deployment to South and Southeast Asia where her crew has already treated thousands of people.
