English: Arabian Sea (Sept. 8, 2006) - Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Wong Thao, of St. Paul, Minn., cleans and inspects ordnance staged in the bomb farm on the flight deck aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65). The Enterprise Carrier Strike Group and embarked Carrier Air Wing One (CVW-1) are currently on a scheduled six-month deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism. For the last five consecutive days aircraft assigned to CVW-1 have provided support to International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) troops on the ground as part of Operations Medusa and Enduring Freedom near Kandahar, Afghanistan. Coordinated with coalition air forces and ISAF troops on the ground, Enterprise aircraft provided close air support for ISAF troops encountering resistance from Taliban extremists in multiple locations around Kandahar Sept. 6 and Sept. 7.
