English: Fort Eustis, Va. (Nov. 3, 2006) - U.S Navy Mass Communication specialists, assigned to various combat camera units, work together to cross-train on a video camera during a semi-annual field exercise. Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC), Detachment Combat Camera-Norfolk's four-day exercise integrated active and reserve Sailors. The training was designed to enhance photographic skills in conjunction with basic combat tactics. The Navy created the NECC, bringing Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Naval Coastal Warfare, riverine forces, Combat Camera Atlantic, the Expeditionary Combat Readiness Center, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support functions and the Seabees under one command. This transformation allows for standardized training, manning and equipping of Sailors who will participate in the maritime security operations and the global war on terrorism as part of the joint force. Image title | FORT EUSTIS, Va.-- United States Navy mass communication specialists, assigned to various combat camera units, work together to cross-train on a video camera during a semi-annual field exercise, Nov. 3, 2006. Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC), Detachment Combat Camera - Norfolk's four-day exercise integrated active and reserve Sailors. The training was designed to enhance photographic skills in conjunction with basic combat tactics. In January, the Navy created the NECC, bringing Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Naval Coastal Warfare, Riverine forces, Combat Camera Atlantic, the Expeditionary Combat Readiness Center, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support functions and the Seabees under one umbrella. NECC integrates all war fighting requirements for expeditionary combat and combat support elements. This transformation allows for standardized training, manning and equipping of Sailors who will participate in the maritime security operations and the Global War on Terrorism as part of the joint force.
