Matthews descends a ladder-well after securing all spaces on the fantail of the Nimitz-Class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) during General Quarters (GQ) drills. Matthews is trained to investigate and report any casualties and potential hazards throughout the ship in the event of an actual shipboard emergency.
