Description
English: ARABIAN SEA (May 22, 2007) - (from the left) Lt. Dave Nistler of the "Golden Hawks" of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 112, Electrician's Mate Fireman Levi Warren and Electrician's Mate Fireman Apprentice Kyle Van Sickle both of engineering department watch a ships transit through the Gulf of Oman from the bow of the flight deck of Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). The transit involved ships from The John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group, Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, and the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group, which are on deployments in support of Maritime Operations. Maritime Operations help set the conditions for security and stability, as well as complement counter-terrorism and security efforts to regional nations.
