English: YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 4, 2007) - Machinery Repairman 2nd Class David Sams explains how to operate a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) for visitors touring USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) during Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka’s 31st Annual Friendship Day celebration. Blue Ridge played host to more than 10,000 Japanese visitors during the open-base event. Blue Ridge is permanently forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan and serves as the flagship for Commander U.S. 7th Fleet.
