Description
English: PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 26, 2007) - A flight deck aircraft director guides an E-2C Hawkeye, assigned to the "Golden Hawks" of Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 112, to the catapult for launch from the flight deck of Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) for the final time this deployment as Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9 departs the ship for their naval air stations. Stennis and CVW-9 are returning to the United States after a 7.5-month long deployment promoting peace, regional cooperation and stability and supporting the global war on terrorism.
