Gosset leads a smallboat engineering tutorial aboard guided-missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98) for members of the Congolese armed forces. Sailors led training sessions for Congolese military personnel on search and rescue procedures, damage control, navigation and small boat handling throughout the week. Forrest Sherman is visiting Congo and other nations as part of U.S. Naval Forces Europe's West and Central Africa Task Group, whose goal is to improve partnerships with West and Central African nations to promote maritime safety and security initiatives.
