Description
English: GALVESTON, Texas (Sept. 21, 2008) Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1656 picks up a light amphibious re-supply cargo vehicle (LARC-V) from Beach Master Unit (BMU) 2 at the beach in Galveston, Texas, to deliver hay to cows stranded by water in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. BMU-2 and LCU 1656 are working with the amphibious assault ship USS Nassau (LHA 4) to render disaster response and aid to civil authorities as directed in the wake of Hurricane Ike.
