Description
English: GULF OF OMAN (Oct. 15, 2008) Aviations Boatswain's Mate (Fuel) 2nd Class Cody Baker, from Phoenix, checks the pressure on a valve in fuel replenishment station 9 aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) during a replenishment at sea. Aviation boatswain's mates (fuel) are commonly referred to as grapes because of the purple attire the division wears and for the piping that is painted purple throughout the ship to signify the contents as JP5 aircraft fuel.
