English: VILLINGILI, Maldives (Feb.20, 2009) Gas Turbine System Mechanical Technician 3rd Class Alvin Gomez, assigned to the guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57), pushes a child on a tire swing at the Kuda Kudhin ge Hiya neglected children's home in Villingili. Volunteers from Lake Champlain visited the center as part of a Project Handclasp community service event. Lake Champlain is part of the Boxer Expeditionary Strike Group and is on a scheduled deployment to the western Pacific Ocean supporting global maritime security.
